Clinton County Foundation Hires New Executive Director
The Clinton County Foundation (CCF) has hired a new Executive Director to replace Jan Blohm who recently retired from the Foundation. Alison Belfrage will assume the organization’s leadership duties on December 13, 2021.
Brad Reynolds, current Foundation board president, shared this summary of the new Foundation Executive Director. “Alison is an experienced foundation and legal industry leader and I'm very happy to have her joining our Clinton County Foundation team. For the last four years she’s worked with foundations and law firms on marketing, business development, grantmaking, leadership transition planning and communications.” Reynolds pointed out that prior to her consulting work, she led the Ohio State Bar Foundation for nearly ten years. Under her leadership, this foundation increased grant applicants and the funds available for grantmaking, and reinvigorated fundraising efforts. “For the CCF, this is great experience to help support what we want to do here in the county. Alison’s work in her prior roles that improved marketing, communications, public relations, and brand development will also be put to good use with the CCF.”
“Alison brings to our organization a significant amount of foundation and non-profit experience and leadership skills”, added Lynn Deatherage, incoming CCF board president. “The board saw her as not only the best candidate from a group of other strong possibilities, but also someone who would further expand the good work already done by our previous Executive Director Jan Blohm.”
Alison received her master’s degree from The Ohio State University in Family Relations & Human Development and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University. She grew up in Maumee, Ohio where she was a proud member of the Gauchos 4-H Club and participated in the Lucas County Fair with her Appaloosa horse. She currently resides in Dublin, Ohio with her husband, Eric and two pets Moose, a Chocolate Lab and Molly, a Siamese cat. They all enjoy spending time with grandchildren, family and friends.
